Today, immigrants and refugees continue to face immense challenges—from displacement and legal uncertainty to exploitation and fear. As Christ-followers, it is Christ’s love that compels us to ensure all people, regardless of documentation status, experience dignity and freedom from exploitation and fear. These resources are designed to help churches and individuals respond with compassion, courage, and faithful advocacy as we find ways to love our neighbors as Christ has loved us.

Legal and Know-Your-Rights Resources
- Informed Immigrant – A resource hub for immigrants to the U.S. that provides up-to-date information, legal guidance, and tools on topics such as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), healthcare, education, employment, and knowing your rights.
- We Have Rights – An immigrant empowerment campaign offering multilingual animated videos and resources to help individuals understand and know their rights during encounters with Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the United States. Videos cover scenarios including home visits, street stops, arrests, and documenting ICE actions.
- Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC) – This community resource page is dedicated to bringing clarity to complicated migration issues and provides a range of downloadable tools to help answer questions about the complexities of immigration law.
- USCRI Know Your Rights and Safety Planning – A collection of multilingual resources and guides to help non-citizens in the U.S.—including asylum seekers, trafficking survivors, and refugees—understand their legal rights in various situations with law enforcement and immigration officers.
- Immigration Advocates Network Legal Services Directory – An interactive map that includes a directory of legal services in various states within the U.S.
Church and Community Action
- World Relief: Responding to ICE in Places of Worship – A helpful guide to equip faith communities with practical guidance, legal insights, and preparedness strategies—such as staff training, signage, emergency planning, and understanding sanctuary implications—to help them protect the rights and safety of congregants during potential ICE encounters in the U.S.
- UNDIVIDED Movement Training – A training video and downloadable guidebook for churches who are looking to create a clear vision and tangible action steps toward a positive, sustainable change around healing and justice work for people in their community. Check out the “Sensitive Locations and Becoming a Faith Witness” section.
- World Relief Immigrant Resource Hub – A resource hub with multilingual resources to help immigrants understand their rights, find qualified legal assistance, and stay informed about immigration policies and scams. This FAQ page is a great starting point for your church or community to become more informed on current issues and how to best assist your neighbors.
Advocacy and Denominational Resources
- United Church of Christ (UCC) Immigration Enforcement Action – A helpful webpage for what churches need to know especially if they have immigrant-welcoming ministries, sanctuary programs at their church, or are in communities with a high population of migrants.
- Episcopal Migration Ministries (EMM) – A collection of essential resources, including Know Your Rights guides and Family Preparedness Plans, to help individuals and families prepare for the unexpected and confidently advocate for themselves.
- Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) – A plethora of resources for individuals at risk of deportation and congregations who support them, including a family care plan for immigrants.
- Catholic Legal Immigration Network (CLINIC) – A tool that spells out an individual’s rights in the U.S. in various places and contexts in multiple languages.
